This Nightster is Brads new scoot for the time being...and believe me he feels like hes on a scooter. LOL! The bike is small but the engine is BIG. The Nightster is a 1200CC engine and is sport tuned so this is a quick little bugger. My bike is exactly the same with a bit more weight (i.e. chrome) and a bigger gas tank so I'm fast...but not this fast. He left me in the dust a couple times on the freeway during our first ride with it. I'm sure he enjoyed it too, Lord knows I've blown by him more than once! :) (and I enjoyed every second of it!)

We are thinking of getting a touring bike in the spring - a big comfy bugger - but we also needed to get out of the predatory rate we had on the Fat Boy. So, along came Harley's "ride free for a year" program - get a Sportster, trade it in within a year for a bigger bike, and get your MSRP back. Lower payment, lower interest rate, no negitive equity - SWEET! It means we can work on debt for 6 months which makes me happy, and Brad will get his touring bike which makes him VERY happy. Don't let that fool you - he's just as happy on this bike as any other - The Sporty's are FUN. Plain and simple. For around town, and up and down the twisty mountain roads we enjoy. But we still want to take long cross country road trips on a motorcycle and still be able to walk when we get there. So, something with a big squishy seat sounds just right!

Here's the bike we are looking at:
